Tahentahawi is an Indigenous Mohawk who has spent her life committed to helping others and challenging the world around her, creating positive ripples of change with the goal of leaving the world better than she found it. As a psychotherapist, Tahentahawi is person-centered, holistic, and trauma-informed.
Her academic background is rooted in Sport, Outdoor Recreation, Fitness, and Wellness. She understands that overall wellbeing is influenced by all aspects of our being; physical, mental, social, emotional, and spiritual. She supports others through self-exploration and meaning-making, helping individuals deepen their understanding of themselves and their lived experiences.
Tahentahawi has intentionally collected experiences that both shape and strengthen her skills as a healer, offering a unique perspective to support others in a meaningful and authentic way. She is strongly connected to the natural world, pulling lessons from nature both metaphorically and experientially to help navigate life’s obstacles.
Tahentahawi has experience supporting others in finding meaning from traumatic childhood experiences, identity development, relationship obstacles, everyday stressors, grief processing, addiction, and more. She is a strong advocate for healthy boundaries and self-care, and meets individuals where they are in their healing journey.
Tahentahawi strongly believes that each of us holds the answers we are seeking within ourselves. She has a unique ability to gently and skillfully support others in exploring their inner world and discovering the insight needed for healing and growth. Tahentahawi’s calming and grounded presence is a gift to those she works with.
