Selene is a Hudson Valley native and dedicated therapist supporting adolescents and adults through life’s challenges. She approaches therapy with authenticity, warmth, humor, and a core belief that everyone deserves to feel truly seen, heard, and supported. She believes that in order to trust someone with your story you need to feel that they are being real with you!
Selene is trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and incorporates Internal Family Systems (IFS/parts work), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients access their inner wisdom and heal from trauma and distress.
As a certified perinatal mental health specialist (PMH-C) and parent, Selene understands just how world-rocking parenthood can be. She is honored and inspired to support individuals navigating the complex experiences surrounding pregnancy, birth, and parenting.
Along with being a psychotherapist, Selene has a background in non-profit community based work all throughout Ulster County. Bearing witness to the profound challenges and resiliency of others has deeply inspired her work as a therapist. She earned her BA in Sociology with a Concentration in Human Services from SUNY New Paltz and her MSW with a Clinical Concentration from the University at Albany.
