Dilek Edwards

AMFT, MA, RYT, Psychotherapist

pronouns: she/her

Dilek works with individuals and couples navigating relationships, intimacy, sexuality, and major life transitions. She offers a grounded, non-shaming space to explore new, realistic ways of relating.
Bringing a warm, steady, and attuned presence, Dilek's approach is informed by her background as an immigrant, a mother, and a long-time student of contemplative practice, understanding how identity and experience live in both the mind and nervous system.
Dilek specializes in working with couples on intimacy, desire differences, recovering from affairs, sexual pain or avoidance, and rebuilding trust. Sessions are collaborative and non-shaming, often incorporating gentle somatic awareness, communication practice, and relational experiments. Dilek also supports individuals through mindful separation, divorce, co-parenting, anxiety, trauma, grief, and questions of identity and belonging, especially in cross-cultural, queer, or blended-family contexts.
Her approach is somatic, systemic, and contemplative. Dilek is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) with advanced training in sex therapy (working toward AASECT certification) and is certified in Contemplative Psychotherapy. She holds a Master’s in Marriage & Family Therapy from the California School for Professional Psychology and a Master’s in Cultural Studies from Bilgi University Graduate School, also drawing on her background as a registered yoga teacher to support mind-body connection.
Dilek feels honored to walk alongside individuals, couples, and families who are ready to become more honest with themselves, soften old survival strategies, and grow relationships that feel more alive, grounded, and true to who they are.
